หินเชิร์ต (อังกฤษ: chert) หินตะกอนเนื้อแน่น แข็ง เกิดจากการตกผลึกใหม่ เนื่องจากน้ำพาสารละลายซิลิกาเข้าไปแล้วระเหยออก ทำให้เกิดผลึกซิลิกาแทนที่เนื้อหินเดิม หินเชิร์ตมักเกิดขึ้นใต้ท้องทะเล เนื่องจากแพลงก์ตอนที่มีเปลือกเป็นซิลิกาตายลง เปลือกของแพลงตอนจะจมลงทับถมกัน หินเชิร์ตจึงปะปนอยู่ในหินปูน
