Web-based Integrated Development Environment หรือ WIDE เป็นระบบสำหรับพัฒนาโปรแกรมบนเว็บ มีจุดประสงค์เพื่อใช้ในการเรียนการสอนวิชาโปรแกรมมิ่ง WIDE จะสร้างสภาพแวดล้อมสำหรับการเขียนโปรแกรมขึ้นมาให้กับผู้เรียน WIDE จะอนุญาตให้ผู้สอนสามารถกำหนดความสามารถของสภาพแวดล้อมได้ทำให้ผู้สอนสามารถให้ผู้เรียนเข้าถึงจุดประสงค์ของบทเรียนได้มากยิ่งขึ้น อีกทั้งการสร้างระบบที่เป็น web-based ยังส่งผลให้สามารถสร้างระบบชุมชนของผู้เรียนรู้ และทำให้เกิดการแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้กันได้ ส่งผลต่อให้ประสิทธิภาพของการเรียนสูงขึ้นด้วย Web-based Integrated Development Environment (WIDE) is an environment for programming based on web technology. WIDE aims for use in programming course by providing an environment that suit the study of learners. For instructors, WIDE allows the instructors to control the environment of WIDE which will help the learning to understand the points that the instructor wants to present better. The most benefit part of web-based is the web allows the instructors to create the community of learners which will lead to knowledge trading between learners. This will lead to more efficiency in learning of the learners.
