The purpose of this project is to build a source of repetitively pulsed plasma arc in vacuum with copper, aluminium and stainless cathode. The result found that maximum arc current was about 120A and spectrum of copper, aluminium and stainless were Cu I Cu II Cu III Al I Al II Al III Fe I Fe II Cr I and Cr II respectively, the spectrum peak of ions were higher than atoms. By Langmuir probe technique without bias, we found that maximum current from probe was about -20A, compared arc current. Having installed straight solenoid duct between source and probe, the maximum current was about -12A.
