Study on Development of Thai Native Silkworm Embryo using SEM Technique
The silkworm embryo development was study in Thai native silkworm the Sumrong strain. The eggs were dissected for remove their shell from the embryo and observed the morphology character by SEM. The result showed the formation of the 1st day egg after oviposition that cleavage, blastulation and germ band stage, respectively. The 2nd and 3rd day embryo formation not clear yet. The 4th day embryo was involution . The 5th and 6th day embryo showed the body segmentation complete and early evidenced of the head pigmentation in 7th day. About 8th day embryo showed the abdominal pigmentation were appear. Finally, 9th day embryo was complete development before hatching. This result showed the embryo of Sumrong strain that faster development than the other Thai native silkworm strains.
