Developments of clove balm production from clove extract substance
This study was performed to evaluate the antibacterial activity of clove balm against six bacterial species ; Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella typhi, Klebsiella pneumoniae,Streptococcus group A and Streptococcus group B by using agar disc diffusion method. Clove balm from clove extract substance was presented the largest antibacterial activity. It was shown to posses antibacterial activity against Streptococcus group B with 13 ± 0.56 mm diameter clear zone and it was presented the least antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli with 8.67 ± 0.07 mm diameter clear zone. Decomposed of clove extract substance evaluated by the antibacterial activity against six bacterial species evaluated one time per week for five weeks.The result of this study shown the effective antibacterial activity to Streptococcus group A was presented the longest decomposed period.
